This is the story of how I used a class from my junior year of high school to design and build a computer peripheral that paid the down payment on our first house. It involved a lot of additional learning from books and the vendors involved. I did the work in the evenings and weekends while teaching CAD to engineers from the Long Beach Naval Shipyard and other places and running computer operations at a service bureau.
